Which would make a better EDC knife in your opinion?

I'm leaning towards the Magnum Bear Cub right now. Can anybody tell me what advantage the BAD would have over the MBC besides the extra blade length?

As always, comparison photos are really helpful and appreciated.;)

The BAD is harder with more wear resistant also. They were hardened higher than almost everything else.

I don't think I'm allowed to EDC any kind of fixed blade here but my favorites for pocket carry would be a culti and "warden" hack with warden handle, AD blade profile, and hacked choil. The thicker spine of an AD is more comfortable for very powerful cuts, but the BAD will slice better in regular cuts. I haven't grabbed an MBC yet because I don't like paper micarta so I can't compare it to anything.

If I found out I could carry 4", id carry a CABS or get my meaner hacked

My PM2 works fine most of the time but there are times occasionally that I could definitely benefit from a fixed blade.

maybe they did. I saw black paper only and that was it for me. Green linen, tigerhide, OD or SOS G10 i'd be all over it. Anything else but paper micarta I'd probably get one, even a no scales option.

For me the paper is fine on the MBC, it has a nice little texture. It would not be my first choice on a larger blade.

Love the MBC for EDC... If I personally were going to go with the BAD, I would go with a meaner while I'm at it. MBC is a very handy knife for its size. Its bigger in use than it looks!

BAD would be a nice SD choice over the MBC; which is too small for that task, IMHO.

The MBC is my usual EDC . As others have said the MBC can be used much harder than it's size would imply . The other thing I like is that it's not "tactical" looking , so it doesn't scare the sleeple when you take it out to use it .
