Anyone else hoping that Busse releases a Tigerhide MBC?

Green Micarta is awesome! I was very lucky to score an ASH SE from a show with green canvas (I think - I can't always tell the difference.)

I don't get why Busse doesn't offer more linen Micarta. In my opinion it feels and looks better.

I've seen better looking Tigerhide on the forums, but here's some of my best looking linen Tigerhide:

I'm still somewhat new to the Busse scene, but that looks to me like a custom shop ASH with hand shaped/sanded Magnum Tigerhide (I'm looking on my phone, so I could be mistaken. It may be black canvas.) Magnum implies that the handle is thicker and more contoured.

One of the reasons I love Tigerhide is because it varies in look so much, yet is always gorgeous.

Check out the Appendix over at bussecollector.com - it is full of very useful information about past releases, terminology, acronyms, handle styles, etc.

Might I add that that is a gorgeous blade. I'd be happy to take it off your hands to inspect it to make sure my observations are accurate.

What does hand shaped mean? I was told that it's just another way of saying hand sanded.

I think those are hand-shaped scales. They look similar to the tiger hide linen scales that came on the SFNOLE, NMSFNOLE, and NMFBMLE and those all were advertised as coming with "hand shaped" scales....could be mistaken but that's my understanding of it.

I can't find any of my close up pics of my SFNOLE at the moment, but you can see the general shape of the scales below. Looks similar to me:

and back to your thread Flux: YES to a Tigerhide MBC!!! I'd love one or two of those to go with my SARGE...

Until something like snakeskin or green linen micartas make a comeback, tigerhide is my favorite
