Hey all,

I ordered my first Busse earlier and I got it stock. I'm going to order at least one more(FBM) and I'm trying to decide on the handle material. I'm looking at G-10 but then I started thinking about going with a Magnum handle. Undecided on whether it would be Micarta or G-10 but I wanted to know, how much thicker are the Magnum handles compared to the regular ones?

Does anyone have a pic comparing Magnums vs. Regular?

For you owners of both, particularly those who have both on the same model knife, how do you compare and like them?

Thanks everyone,
Nick

Nick, this has been discussed many times and you should be able to find the answers to your questions using the search function. Here is a link using "Magnum" as the search term in the title.

Personally I prefer the magnum handles since they fill out my hand better and feel nicer. BTW, I wear a large size glove. Hope this helps you.

Welcome to the Trough!

Thanks for the welcome and link! You know, I've been really good about searching but it completely slipped my mind this time. Low and behold, all the things I wanted to know were there. So once again, thanks.

Go with magnums. Especially if you already have a standard ordered. I have medium hands and the magnum feels way better. The palm swells are awesome.

If only they had the black paper in magnum size. That would look great on the LE edition.

Agreed! Black paper would be sooooo nice on that giant satin "billboard" of a knife :D .

Another note on magnum slabs is that you can sand them down to fit your hand...you cannot add micarta to the standard slabs to customize fit ;)
