Magnum Handles Question

Hello All.
I am new to Busse Knives, and just Ordered the battle Mistress. This question might be dumb, but what are the diff, in the standard, and magnum handles? Is the magnum bigger?
I ordered standered in snakeskin.
I do have small hands, "my buddies say i have girl hands", so is the standard better for small hands?
Sorry for this dumb question, but i have to learn somewhere.
 
The Mag handles have swells in them and are preferred by many (including myself) If snakeskin is what you wanted, then you made the right choice because it is not offered in Mag.

for you i would go with mags on the standard and steal somebody elses fatty with mags and give it a try.
 
Snake skin looks great, but even with my medium to small hands I prefer magnum handles.

I have to agree with what was written above:

“GO MAG OR GO HOME!”

The magnum handles provide a lot more swells and curves to lock one’s hand around, and, IMO, this is the way it needs to be on a big chopper.
 
I took a poll in this forum a while ago, and I would say that at least 75% of all Busse fans, including those of us with medium or even small hands prefer the Magnums.
SO! The chance is much greater that you will prefer the magnum handles!
(provided my poll was accurate!)
 
I had to trim the mag handles on my HH to the point that no texturing remains. It NOW feels pretty good to me.

I am wondering what the center CIRCUMFERENCE is on the two.

How much bigger/smaller are they ?

The mag handles will give you the best grip while chopping through those railroad ties and cinder blocks but, they are a bit bulkier and stick out a bit more while carrying in a sheath. So.....get one in mag for chopping and one in std for carry when use is minimal or limited! What do I care? Not my money! I've already spent it all at the Busse shop!
 
Don't have any with mag handles so I can't comment on those but I have a few with standard handles( not FBM's) and I'm happy to the point of not wanting mag handles. I also went with Snakeskin.

This picture shows two HOFSHs with both regular and magnum scales. You should be able to get an idea about the relative sizes:

Well i e-mailed sales and changed my order from Black/w snakeskin, to Urdan Camo/w Black G-10 magnums.
This is a large blade, so I guess it does make sense to have a fatter grip for chopping.

Its gonna be a long 3mo...
 
O-well it gives me more time to work overtime to pay for it.lol
Maybe i can work enough in the next two wks to order a LE.
Does anyone know how long of a window it is to order one?

(i feel like a little crack head. I cant get enough,"I just want more, more more".)
