Are magnum scales offered on most Busse knives? I saw the option on Mashed Cat and didn't know that was a popular or even offered configuration.

Got pics? What's the cost?

I may be wrong but I believe there are two general configurations: Magnum (thick) and Anorexic (Thin). I am sure whenever you order a blade directly from Busse you can request either or. As far as price I am not sure, the girls should be able to help you out just send them an email.

The old term for the thinner grips was STANDARD. So you had a choice on some knives but not all between STANDARD & MAGNUM. That's why the leather & kydex boys need to know what you have. For instance a leather knife sheath for a magnum grip will have in proportion a longer diagonal retention strap. Kydex with magnum grips will absolutely not work with standard grip.

Mags were seen on the med. to lg. FUSION Line, to include the BATAC-LE. Most if not all of the Straight Handle blades were standard as was the ERGO Line. Then there is the Custom Hand Shaped grips which are larger than the Magnums. So there is some difference it's just that you will need to look at as many pics as you can to see the differences. I am at work and don't have my home computer pic so as to show examples. Hopefully someone will come to rescue here with some top view hilt pics for instance between an original FSH w/ Standard and Magnum grips.

If you buy a used sheath from someone always ask which type knife was it made for. Like I said there are some differences.

Hope this helps a little.

I can usually tell by the depth of the countersink holes for the rivets.
