After I saw the Busse "Air Bleeder" here on the forums and in person at Blade, I knew I had to have one. I basically had all of the parts laying around the shop, so I thought I would put one together. I wanted a larger version for the bigger blades and had a 3" piece of leather already, so mine is what you would call "Magnum size". I placed a handle/knob on the opposite end so if you wanted, the knife could be placed in a vise/holder and the leather stroked across it. I haven't added the abrasive compound yet to the leather, but will give it a trial this week.

No, I am not selling them and am not trying to capitalize on Jerry's idea, I just wanted to share my project.

Nice work Tim! You were telling me about it at Blade, but I wasn't picturing that. That will come in handy for the FBM. :D

I'd be more interested to learn what the pieces/parts are so I can try building one too.

Randucci,

You do pretty work, that is sharp(pun intended)

Great for the big blades.

You may want to make a Narrow one for the shorter blades, and for the curved parts of the big blades.

Practice a bit and see what works for you.

Add two grits of Compound and you are ready to go.

Very Nice.

the company store is going to carry the busse production model if anybody happened to miss ordering one.

Nice work. It's always satisfying to make something yourself, especially something so cool.
