Magnum sword

Aloha Man of Iron,

Yeah, my dear bro the Deacon got the one ya are curious about. I got the "plain" ol' Premium Katana I, and a Premium Wakizashi. They are sharp and have a decent balance to them. When ya do "air cuts", that blood groove causes that killer sound effect, like in the movies: "THWIiiiiIIIIIiiiiIIIP!"

I cut a HARD tube of cardboard easily with my Wakizashi, and Gardenia bush leaves don't stand a chance against the Katana. (Accuracy practice: Try hitting the stem of the leaf.)

Overall, I like them. However...

The silk wrap makes them sorta slippery. May want to epoxy over it for better grip.;)

God bless:cool:

Thanks for the tip, Chad, you da MAN

Before this, I was quite impressed by Cold Steel, but now that I know there're better stuff (Damascus) out there for even less money. Besides, I almost purchase Böker product exclusively lately: Magnum 2007 collection, Magnum Crusader, 2 SubComs (1 black, 1 reg.), 1 trance and 1 MPT.

Anyways, I'm starting a CLB :thumbup::thumbup: Black Collection:) Oh man, lots catching up to do:p KeyCom, Edit, Direkt, M-type and Hyper, I think I'm gonna drop the Emerson CQC12 I have in mind in favor of them. I've handled your Lava also, it's on my list too!!!

Mahalo, Daywalker, keep up the great work.

Aloha Man of Iron,

No, no...thank YOU!

BTW, be advised about the swords...they are not heat treated like traditional Samurai swords in that they are not zone tempered. There is no hamon on them either. They handle strong lateral maneuvers okay, although I have not subjected them to anything over a long term basis. I would NOT consider them "true using" swords...at least not for long term use.

Whoa...re-think that Emerson...I am honored, but cripes man!!!;)

God bless and I appreciate your CLB Collection!!!
