Any of you guys ever noticed the insanely perfect balance of the Magnum Tanto or Magnum Tanto II? Something about that knife... it's center of balance is right at the tsuba. They all won't do it.. depends on the grind of the blade and if they removed just the right amount. But if you lay it on a table and spin it... it'll spin for like 2 or 3 minutes straight. I've owned probably 7 of them in my life... and I've kept the two that had the most amazing balance. Give yours a try...

Cold Steel had some incredible designs and LT was a true blade aficionado. He produced well though put designs that are still best-in-class. The LTC and Gurkha kuks, tantos, TM and Recon Scout, Voyagers, etc. are either the best in class or the best for the money. Those days are over but some designs still linger. Unfortunately, GSM thinks they should charge 3X more than they're worth and went from high value steel to cheapest available.

There should be an Annual Cold Steel Olympics... Tanto Spinning, Make-This-Sh*tty-Old-Truck-into-a-Convertible, Spike Lawn Darts, Speed Throwing, Who Can Cut Through The Most Pop Cans with one swing, Machete Carving
They used to have the annual knife fighting contest. You'd square off with plastic tube "weapons". Winners would get prizes. Those were the days!

That sounds like it would be really boring without Porcine Chopping.

After almost three weeks I learned that this knife was discontinued and out of stock so I had them substitute it for a regular satin finish hollow ground 3V Master Tanto.

Since I ordered it the day the sale was announced they were probably already out of stock or many people also ordered one.

$150.00 was still a good deal for this knife, I usually see it for over $200.00 and maybe $170.00 on an occasional sale.
