After just missing on an M&G pruner on Ebay (dang favorite searches didn't tell me it was there until it was over!), I've renewed my quest to find one in carrying condition.

Why?

I'm from Toledo, and I can point to where M&G was headquartered. Anyone have one of these?

Do you know who bought all his cutlery at MAYER&GROSH ??

LTCOL George A. Custer.
He hung out at a little town SW of you a bit named TONTOGANY.

Not so far, and he was born about 15 miles north of here.

Wish I'd hit that pruner, though. Nice looking piece, went for about $40.

I have a couple antique Maher & Grosh knives, about 100 years old. I also have a bunch of ads from them, they were the original magazine ad knife sales outfit. I have ads dating back to 1887.

Mr. lambertiana, regale us with pictures, please!?!?
