Mahogany

Trying to clean up my place and found a bit of real mahogany .Two pieces about 10''x2.3"x1" Nice red, dense wood .If interested speak up ,no charge ,first come first serve.

The wood came from a piece of furniture from Hong Kong about 40 years ago . It was fine until the NYC winter with dry air ,then things started to fall apart .A very sad case. I salvaged a couple of pieces and made a table ,the rest in the wood stove. This piece was a surprize and it's solid , no cracks ,though straight grain.

It's probably be used on a musical instrument, though if I think it's hard enough, I might be tempted you use it for a knife. I'll send you pics in either case.
