Headed down to the beach with the dogs today but before I went I decided to carry out a couple more mods to my JK neck rig !

I planned on adding some fishing line and a hook to the kit and figured it could be duct taped onto the handle....

All seemed good, I have also fixed a small mirror to the back of the sheath for signalling ( also great to use when you get a fly in ya eye and have to fish it out with some tissue )and wound some Jute around my ferro rod as extra tinder......

However when I went to put the knife back in the sheath it was very tight and started to tear the tape !!! Then I realised that I could just tape it to the sheath instead....doh !!!!!

So then it was off to beach where I hadn't been walking long when I came across what appears to be Beach peas, if this is what it is the natives used to eat the pea seeds either raw or boiled and cured in seal oil....just gotta catch me a seal now !!!!

There were also some Salmon berries......

And Californian poppies, if you have toothache just cut the roots from these and apply the juice straight to the site of the pain !!!!

Maisy took to the water while Snicker thought getting her legs wet was brave enough !

Not the most ideal knife for this but the little guys as tough as nails and went in deep enough so that I could finish the job with a wooden wedge !

If I use the Poppy juice for my tootheache, will I still pass the drug screen for work?

I think you would be fine....

The nervous system is affected in a very different way by the California poppy, even though this plant is a close relative of the opium poppy, a plant well known for many narcotic products. The main difference is that the California poppy does not induce a narcotic effect on the body. The opposite effect seems to be true of the California poppy; the plant seems to be able to normalize psychological function in a person instead of disorienting mental states. The California poppy's is ideal for the treatment of physical and psychological problems in children due to the gentle anti-spasmodic, the potent sedative and analgesic effects it possesses - this plant is highly valued for these reasons. Disorders and conditions such as persistent bedwetting, problems with sleeping, persistent nervous tension and anxiety can be effectively treated using the herbal remedies made from the California poppy.

Great pics, Pit. Thanks for sharing. I suppose I should save the Maisy in the water ones for my nephews again :o

I like that little knife, small and strong.

Ferro rod, jute, and inner tube on the sheath (duct tape too) should guarantee a fire under any circumstances.

Nice dogs and photo's too.

Do you know of a reference for how to make these remedies? I have a very serious need for a non-prescription anti-anxiety something. I will be researching it myself at the earliest opportunity. I would really like to be able to get something sustainable. I am in pennsylvania, so that may present a problem. I dont know how different it is from BC

Thank you (or anyone else) for any assistance with this.
