Major addiction problem!

I think I have a major addiction problem. I get onto bladeforums.com and look at all the new posts, in all my favorite sections. Then I go back and make sure there are no new posts in the first sections that I looked at, then the second one. I keep doing this and get upset when there are no new posts or subjects to look at. I gain so much knowledge from this place. Even the little things, that are probably common knowledge to a lot of makers.

I know this may be a little sappy and repetitive, but I want to say it again. I can’t wait to get my membership upgraded so that I can post some photos of my new knives and how you ALL have helped my get to where I am. I have not been able to find someone close to me, to be able to learn the art of knife making first hand, so I have turned to bladforums.com and what a GREAT, FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE place to learn.

I did post in Rick Marchand’s “Makers That Have Recently Inspired Me” thread, but I would like to say it again, and to the ones I did not name. You all have been my tutors, and what a GREAT bunch of tutors you are.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL! :D

Ok I am done gushing now. Does anyone else have a major addiction to Bladeforums.com?

I only spend about 12 hours a day on here but I can quit anytime I want to:rolleyes:

I took a week off from BF a few months ago. Didn't check messages or anything. Right before the KITH knives were due. I only check it about 5-6 times a day now.

I was without a computer for over a year once. After a few months the forum withdrawals, nightmares and cold sweats slowly went away.... ;)

I have BF in the background on my PC all the time. I have spent so much time here in my off time, that I've forced myself to stop looking at knives and get back in the shop to keep making my own!

It's hard to juggle family, job, knife making, and BF!

By the way, you can get a free membership at www.photobucket.com to upload your pictures.
Resize them.
Right click "Properties"
Copy the "Address" of the picture.

In your BF post, you can put
to show any picture.

For Example
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/images/bfc-logo.gif/IMG} (replace "}"with"]" )

FWIW, I post pictures all the time on a basic membership. Of course it helps that I own 6 web sites, each of which has a lot of online storage space...

I spend hours a day on BF, and still feel like I will never learn even a fraction of all the information that is so openly and willingly shared by all the great people here..

I'm addicted...

I'm hooked.... I'm trying to educate myself daily and "convince" myself that this is "educational" so it must be "good" for me.... So, after 8 or 9 hours(or 2), when the shakes start again, I log on, search the topic of the day(forge building)(GIB build)(grinding bevels)(plunge lines)(steel properties)(Tempering)(Hardening)(Hamons)(anvils)(etc)(etc)....., and "educate" myself..... until the shakes stop... Shew.... they're just starting to subside now.......

Whenever the computer is down for repair, is when work finally gets done around here. This place can be a theif of time, so I do try to limit it.
