Major CPR on visor suggestions?

I have a 4 year old Handsrping Visor. Worked fine until the last set of batteries died. I replaced the bats, no luck, soft and hard reset no luck. I tested that batteries and they are fine. It just won't turn on at all.

Any other suggestions revival?

Does it turn on with an a.c. adapter? I'm not sure about Handspring but Palms can develop a similar problem. With the Palm, you have to hard reset in the cradle (or with cable). A tech support guy told me these things forget they have batteries and can refuse to recognize them.

Thanks for that link Phatch, I have an old IIIc that I think only needs a battery. The battery is $24.00, Palm would have charged three times that much to repair it.
