Major disappointment with wood inlay

After 16 months of waiting, I just received my large 2000 wood inlay about two minutes ago. While I may not have given it adequate examination time, I can't help but be a little disappointed after gathering my first impression of this knife.

Why the h*ll didn't I order two!

I can proudly say that it is one of the gems of my modest accumulation. The bronze raindrop damascus is beautifully done, the desert ironwood gorgeous and the action is perfect.

A small inlay is going to be an absolute necessity for everyday carry.

Congratulations Blademan 13! You had me worried for a second there. Happy Holidays and have fun with your new Sebenza.

HAH, had me going there!!!

Love mine too, need to get a large inlay also...

I avoided this problem by ordering both sizes at the same time, plus the cane to match

I know why I don't have more than one-I have all I can afford. But if I where destined to have only one knife, I would hope that my small wood inlayed would be it.
It is not one of the gems of my collection, it is THE gem of my collections I have or have had in the past.
Did I mention I like it?

C Ben Susrool, I couldn't agree with you more.

Blademan:
Boy you had me going! I think in previous thread I told you I would eat my hat if you didn't like your inlay. I just about got out the salt and pepper shaker. Welcome to the woodie club! Today I took mine apart, cleaned it, relubed it and put it back together. The tolerences are incredible! I had to take it apart a couple of times because if you don't do it just right the action won't be smooth. I'm glad to say that my baby is silky smooth now. I was sweating bullets for a little while but I got it right. I think you should get a small (like mine) for daily carry but I would recommend the BG42 blade as it is more suited for daily use. I think that the woodies should come with some of the wax that CRK uses to make them shiny. I called Bridget and she sent me a little plastic tub of it. What service. Did I remember to say that that I really, really, really like my small inlay of curly maple? Blademan, post a pic, don't keep that beauty all to yourself! Rick, that is one nice inlay you have there!
Here's my baby!
