Major Earthquake on Vancouver Island B.C.

Large quake hitting vancouver Is. Just reported on the news no damage reports yet, hope all is well with our good friend from W&SS Pitdog
and and all the other good people from the area.

They are saying a 6.7 magnitude, which pretty damn strong. I'm hoping Pit and the others are fine.

Downgraded to 6.4, but still enough to cause some damage. Prayers for our BF buds there.

Hope everyone is safe - Vancouver Island is located near the Cascadia Subduction Zone (the fault spans 600 miles from British Columbia to Northern California) which can produce megathrust earthquakes

The quake is reported to originate in one of the smaller faults and was side-slippage, not subduction, thus less damage and felt effects.
