My wife ain't as hands on with the stuff, but she admires them. She's a fan of the recurved skinner blades and kris blades. She will not return my nice Opinel folder after she saw how hard the steel is and how it takes a fine convex edge. She's held it hostage fer 10 years!
Also, she knows more about steel (good steel) than most of my male friends, and can spot a junk knife faster than anyone. Last time my friends were plotting to buy me a wall hanger of a sword, and she warned them against it. The stil got it, probably because they thot "She's a girl, what would she know of these things?
Me wife and I have a deal--when she gets shoes, I get a knife, and vice versa. Works so far...
