Makarov ammo at the range

I have an opportunity to pick up a CZ82 in 9mm makarov as my only handgun. It will probably only see indoor range use once a month and the occasional outdoor trip, the store near my house only carries steel cased ammo and the range near my house apparently only allows brass. Should this be a deal breaker for me buying the CZ?

No, it's a great gun. Seller and Bellot make brass cased 9x18 rounds for it. A little bit on the pricy side, but from the looks of it, it sounds like the indoor range picks up the brass and sells it to reloaders.

Call the range and see if they have a problem with you using steel cased rounds. There is a range in Greensboro that had banners stating that Wolf/bear ammo will destroy your firearm and if caught using it at their range they will kick you out. (kind of ridiculous really)

They are great pistols. Don't hesitate to buy one. You can also easily reload 9x18 with cut down 9x19 (9MM Luger) brass, and properly sized bullets ared available from just about any bullet maker.

You may also have opportunities to shoot outside where steel cased ammo is not a problem.
