About a month or so ago I decided that I wanted a Camp Knife Challenge Calendar bad enough to make my own. After looking around a bit and talking to a few people I settled on VistaPrint.com. Turns out it was pretty damn easy to do. Only problem was that the file size for the pics were too small to be used on anything other than a desk calendar. So I went with a desk calendar (see pics below). However, even for the desk calendar, picture quality was only marginal. Fortunately, our super fantastic knife tester/review Brian was generous enough to email me the pics at a higher resolution. I've posted and labeled these pics on my website...which had pretty much been abandoned for the last three or four years. By following the basic instructions below you should be able to download the pics off my website and create a calendar using VistaPrint, all in short order. Keep in mind that the directions are not detailed, but they should get you heading in the right direction without having to poke around all over the place. I'm very pleased with the one I made, and it was surprisingly inexpensive. Obviously, there are many other sites besides VistaPrint that do this, so feel free.
First go to my website, BadMonkeyMC. Youll see 13 Camp Knife Challenge Glamour Shot pics, one for the cover and one for each month. Each pic is labeled with the makers name or business name. Click on each pic and open (must open or file size will be too small) and save to a file on your PC.
To use VistaPrint:
1) Go to VistaPrint and create an account
2) Go to the Home page and hover over Calendar to select the type of calendar you prefer
- Wall calendar
- Desk calendar
- Poster calendar
3) Once youve selected a calendar type choose Photo Calendar as the style, and click on Design to choose border styles, color and layout options
4) Once youve selected the layout click the Personalize tab
- Under the images tab click on Add Images, select Browse, and add all images
- Select Caption and add whatever caption you prefer. Recommended captions are provided under each pic on BadMonkeyMC
5) Once images and captions have been selected for the cover and all twelve months youll have the ability to preview the calendar and approve the design
6) Choose quantity, paper stock, etc.
7) Check the hell out (takes credit card and paypal)
8) Get your cool new calendar in the mail
