Make a Paddle Strop

My wife had a worn out hair brush like this, and I thought it could be made into a paddle strop.
This was a nice project that only cost a few dollars for the leather. Leather area is 3 1/4 X 5 inches.

I pulled out the foam center, fitted and glued paint stir sticks into the recess.

The surface was sanded flush and the wood re-sealed.

Fitted leather glued to the surface to finish.

I did compress it before gluing and used weight while the glue set.

Bro that is excellent work!!! I dig seeing things like this. My wife often "loses" me into the garage when I'm on a knife kick. She walks out and just shakes her head at me. I may have to "re-purpose" on of her brushes like that. "Hey Honey, where's your brush..........???"
