i want the scales on my bravo 1 to have some more grip on them, if they get wet the knife will go flyin as of right now:eek: anyone have a good way to do this? its just the standard black canvas..

thanks guys

Bark River puts a coat of wax on their handles... take an old toothbrush and scrub them with Bar Keeper's Friend or the equivalent, then a quick rinse of hot soapy water. 200 grit sandpaper works, too [or 60 grit of you want them really grippy].

You can cut grooves also, I did it to my micarta handled knife with a dremel tool, pm me and I'll send you an image of it [Ontario Retribution 1] it came out good, whole new knife now.

I'd suggest that you start with higher grits and see how it feels in your hand rather than starting at 80 grit.

This.

They use a wax polish on their micarta. I washed mine in really hot water with some Dawn and it cleaned it right up. Nice and grippy now.
