Got a gift card for a major online retailer in the mail yesterday and ordered my BK9 today! Says delivery is going to be next week, but there is a fulfillment center for said retailer in my area (less than an hour), so perhaps it will be here by Friday? [emoji16]

Planning to clean up some more bamboo in the yard this weekend - would be a nice opportunity to test drive it. Crossing fingers! If not, there's always the machax....

Fun stuff! I hope it all works out. Regardless, the 4 and the 9 both excell at bamboozling.

Bamboo beware!

The 9 is such a great knife; chops like the 4 (or better according to some) yet still can do many other things. I prefer more knife and more knives compared to less knife and less knives but, even with that, a 9 and the right folder could serve you well outdoors.

I'm looking forward to having it come in.

Shipped! Scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but coming through a carrier that has been less than reliable for me in the past. We'll see what happens!

Congrats! My 9 is my favorite knife hands down. No Becker collection is complete without one. Just my opinion.

It's here! I'll get pics up as soon as I can, but, wow this thing is really well balanced for a 9" blade. I got to handle my BIL's at Thanksgiving last year and I forgot how comfortable it is and how it just feels like an extension of my arm.

Bummed I didn't get it in time for my yard project this past weekend. But I'm sure I can find a couple of things to do with it this weekend. After all...that pesky oak tree IS blocking our view of the sunset. [emoji6] j/k

You'll find ways to use it, when I first got mine I took it on a car camping trip, didn't need it at all but I still managed to split a bunch of firewood for no reason other than just using the knife.

Yeah, I'm certain I can find SOMETHING to do to knock the new off. [emoji106]

Now for the main question. Which mod will you do first?
Not sure. Going to get some use out of it first and then decide if I'm going to do anything to it. I'm one of those weirdos who can appreciate all the cool stuff people do to their Beckers, but kind of like them as they are - grivory handles (even though we all know how DANGEROUSLY slippery they are [emoji6] j/k), coating and all. The one mod job I did do on my 15, I wish I had done differently.

Although, I did see a cool looking stonewash on a stripped 9 a few weeks ago that looked really sweet. We'll see....

Will most likely order kydex from JD for it at some point.
