I have this one posted on BRL's forum as well, but figured it may be more appropriate here. If read counter-clockwise the marks appears to be "ELTM", but I guess the first letter could be an "F". I also have no idea how the maker intended the mark to be read or where to start. This maker was certainly no rookie. Anyone recognize the mark?
