Maker identity?

Curious if anyone out there can identify a knifemaker for me. I've been using this knife for quite a while with no idea who made it or what steel was used. The makers mark is an S with and arrow through it. Any info about the maker or steel type would be much appreciated. It has the JS marking opposite the makers mark.

Sounds like Tim Scholl. His mark is listed in the directory of the annual Knives as last name or last initial with arrow. Plus, he is a JS.
