Found a Nashville Plow works repro at a gunshow... I have been wondering who the maker was. It actually looked like a older repro. Someone told me that in the 1960's or around then some pretty nice repros were made... the main things that were wrong with them were that the blade groove did not run all the way to the guard and the N to Nashville was not backwards like originals. Anbody know if this is one of those older repros and if so who made them? Thanks!

The name that gets bandied about for the better early reproductions is House of Swords

I know little about the company but the name comes up frequently re fakes during discussions at Sword Forum International. Whether these are the Mexican made vs India made swords is unclear to me.

Two of the more knowledgeable confederate sword dealers that would know would be Rafeal @ Shiloh Relics and Dave @ Arizona Swords. There are a handful of others that have seen these back when they were selling mail order .out of catalogs

Cheers
