I'm curious about the different carbon fiber weaves that i've seen on knives. How many different weaves are there? I've seen unidirectional with weaves going in every direction, straight checkerboard, checkerboard on the flats of scales and the (rounded) sides of the same scales have a curved weave, and the perfect diagonal basketweave (which i like). I'd like to know what control the makers have in how the finished CF looks like by way of shaping, sanding, etc. And makers, if responding please be specific on how you do this. If I contact a maker with a knife request and how i want it to look, i'd like to know what the heck i'm talking about. I will post some pics for reference if i can. Thanks
