Hey! I just moved to Austin from out of state, and have decided to venture back into knife making as a hobby.
I have been to a few Ashokan events in upstate NY over the years and have some basic knowledge of the craft but living in a cramped apartment in NYC left me with no space to actually practice my skills, so I eventually stopped pursuing the craft.

Long story short I would love to meet any makers within an hour or so Austin, hang out, pick your brain, talk knives, coffee/beer on me!
Any hammer ins, community events - or anything of the sort would be great to know about.
