My uncle Kelly is going to be making a work-related trip to the Allendale/Bethlehem area and asked me to try to look up some makers who might be around. He's a paying member of the ABS and the guy who taught me the basics and got me interested in making, so I'd like to help him out if I could. Any help finding some makers in the area would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nathan

I think bud nealy is near the stroudsburg area. off the top of my head. thats all of who i can think of.

Robert Eggerling(DAMASCUS MASTER!!) lives just south of Allentown. Neally's shop is about 45 min north of Allentown. Chavez is just inside of Jersey but I haven't seen him in a few years and Al Gormley(MAKES DAMASCUS) who frequents this site is in Borto.(Also south of Allentown/Emmaus,PA)./ If you call Rob I'm sure he would love to have him over.

Bud Nealy in Stroudsburg (www.budnealyknifemaker.com) makes great concealable tactical knives. He, his wife Toni and Karen, who runs his office, are fabulous people. Tell your uncle to try to visit. I own one of Bud's creations and plan to have more.

Larry made me a Palm-loaded chisel grind knife. Boker asked me for some pics! Let's see what happens.

I'll second the knives of Larry Mensch, Handles and blades are outstanding, as is the workmanship.

Depending on how busy he is and what his show schedule is, Bud Nealy is a very accommodating maker who was very nice to me all the times I've been to his shop, please bear in mind that he had a shop fire before the holidays so I'd definitely call the number on his site.
