Makers Mark ideas that never came to be...

I had originally wanted to do a makers mark but then later I decided against it. I just went with the name across the back of the spine. I still wanted to come up with something cool for a website or something so I worked with a couple of guys over on the ESEE forums and we came up with some ideas that I think are pretty good. I didn't want to use my name on my knives because I don't consider myself a custom maker. I'm just a scrub with a love for knives and I enjoy doing it. I also didn't want to take myself serious and I kind of wanted to joke on the "Core" part. My wife came to me one day and said what about "Core Knives" and your logo could be an apple core, "We are in Washington". I thought it was perfect!

Jonny noticed it earlier so I thought I'd share.

Those are some nice graphics, i could see that on some gear... that apple could could turn into a nice brand logo for you! Great job.
 
Erik's fine.

We talked about that actually. I liked the goof on Core so we ran with it.

BTW, I'm supposed to pick you up on my way over to visit Mr. Erik. :D

Plus, Paris is on my team.
 
You know how I am Jonny, sarcastic - but in a loving way. Except I meant it originally, because I'm also honest. Michael clearly has a sense of humor and after seeing his facebook page I might have to rethink my apple core attitude. It's working so far, and the knives look pretty darn cool.

We need to head a little east, into Nevada once we get to Erik's. I was born and raised in Vegas. We went to LA to get some peace and quite. We are totally onto something here. We should plan a BF get together at Lake Havasu during spring break!

Are you nuts!? I'm married and want to stay that way. Havasu at spring break is NOT happening! :D Although.....Brian Fellhoelter does live there. Hmmmmm :) He just got a brand new Haas industrial CNC machine.....
 
I think the art above wold make great t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc...

With regards to the rest of the conversation I don't know if I should feel left out or happy none of you know where I live.
