Makers of Fine Friction Folders

Hi folks,

I'm wondering what makers around here produce friction folders on a semi regular basis. As you can see, I'm relatively new here, but this is a great place. I collect frikkies of many different kinds (custom, primitive, modern, production, traditional, you name it) and I like the idea of keeping it "in house" and supporting BF makers now that I have my shiny new gold member badge.

I just got a completed JK frikky (which is awesome, I put up pictures in his subforum, so go have a look), I know Mr. Snody does some amazing stuff in Ti, I have spoken with Filip De Leeuw about something from his next batch, and I am anxiously awaiting DFKs upcoming frikkies.

Here's a small piece of the collection since pictures are always good:

Who else should I know about/talk to/order from? I'm open to pros, hobbiests, whatever.

What about the pocket clip on that Fellhoelter, did Brian make that or did you get it from somewhere else?

Willem O'Kelly/smokepole did a line of FF's a while back, as well as a newer "micro" design.

I actually have one of Eric's pocket butchers in frikky form coming.

The Fellhoelter came with the clip from TNW Knives, I assume its from Brian.

Deviant friction folder is a nice piece if you can find one. I've heard Spyderco are planning on producing one based on it, seems to be on preorder atm.

Willem Steenkamp makes a nice FF too. I see Begg has been mentioned. Hmm. Doberman knives may be worth a look? I'm sure there's another european maker known for FF's, but name escapes me atm. Something with anso style scales, if memory serves. I'll keep looking.

This is interesting. I think Spyderco not only kind of did a friction folder with the frn UKPK, but in that design, routed the utility of the extended tang with their Spyderhole and finger choil. It wasn't intentional, but the end result pretty much works out that way.
