makin' beans n bacon

prepare some tinder and kindling

place tinder bundle in new pocket cooker your using for the first time

strike huge firesteel ( it's a beast ) a few time at tider so a spark catches and flames grow

manage coals, add more fuel if needed

slice canadian bacon while skillet preheats

saute bacon, stirring with leftover kindling

add canned baked beans, heat and enjoy. :thumbup:

no brand to speak of, 6 inch trekker with a folding handle, first time i've used it. Got it a few years ago from cabela's. very pleased with it today. Think i might get the larger version.

the bottom of the pan got pretty sooted up as well as the stove., but that comes with the territory. campfire cooking can be a little dirty

Prop, you said. Just something about it. For some reason, tea tastes bette when you make it over a fire made by a bow drill too. For a long time, that was my favorite of mine to do.
