I want to deassist my kershaw link and there's no detent hole in the blade. Does anyone know a easy method to line up the detent ball on the line lock with the blade to create a detent spot. I tried doing this once before on my thermite with no luck. Thanks

Coat the bottom of the blade with Prussian blue. Assemble it and actuate the blade. The detent ball should scribe a line to give you that axis. As far as placement on the line, just measure with a caliper. Should get you where you want to be.

Coat the bottom of blade. Great idea. I dont have calipers. Maybe harbour freight has tbem cheap

Yes they do! I purchased my last 6" steel, digital caliper at Harbor Freight, that I use for reloading, and pretty much everything.. That was 3 years ago and it still works flawlessly. Cost me $14 with a 20% off coupon, I think. (I love my Harbor Freight!)
