Making a Leatherman Knife Blade

The blade on my Leatherman wont hold an edge for nothing.

So I am going to make one for it, and was wondering if anybody else has made one for theirs?

Mine is apart so I will grind one for it tomorrow.

I got the blade, made of 1080, drilled, and machined. I had 1/8'' thick steel ,and the Leatherman is 3/32'' so I milled it down.

I have never made a blade this small and I must say, I prefer making bigger blades.

I made the blade a Sheep Foot style.

Will post pics of finished product.

Ready for heat treat, and take a little off the edge so it won't hit the case.

how hard was it to remove the pin/screw that holds the blade in,have always wondered about it?thanks

I put the Leatherman in a vice just high enough to hold one side with a good pair of pliers,and turned the other side with a good pair of pliers. Was easier than I thought it would be, and that is the reason I put this build off for so long.
