OK. Call me crazy. But, I am considering removing the leather stacked handle from a user Al Mar Grunt II and replacing it with a one piece SOLID micarta handle. I will custom fit it and epoxy it to the tang in a style similiar to a Randall.

Does anyone specialize in making these types of handles and selling them a a component?

Where can I find a block that is ready to be glued and worked into shape? Dimensions are 5.5"l x 2"h x 1.5"w.

I'd love to get one that is already shaped, and would only need custom fitting/sanding.

The entire blade will be getting either a convexing/flat grind, and a super edge. Some changes will be made to the tip. It will be a bad boy when done!

I recently had a maker custom order some blue burlap micarta with blue glow powder from him. I'm sure he could help you find the right size.

Either way, and you may know this, be careful when working with that stuff! Be sure to wear a respirator!

No prob! And do post some pics if you complete that project, I don't know that I've seen whole micarta slabs used for a stick tang and it's an appealing idea.
