Making a nylon sheath?

I decided to make a nylon sheath for a SRK I bought and have a couple of questions.

1. Do you make the liner like a kydex sheath and rivet it together or do I do something else to it.

2. Were is a good place to buy nylon webbing online. I don't mean the stuff used for straps on most backpacks, I mean the heavy duty stuff used for military web gear or heavier.

P.S. If this is in the wrong forum please move it.

1. As far as I know it is usually rivets, or the Kydex can be folded over so that the edges overlap on the back of the blade and is then glued together. I would go with rivets or rather eyelets.

Tore, you're the MAN! :D (no offense if you're not ;))

I've been looking for a source for heavy duty materials forever!

Have you ever gone into your local sewing shop and asked for Ballistic Nylon?

 Thanks!

Keith,

I have always made the kydex a semi snug fitting mold and left room at the bottom to rivet in place. You should not need to fasten the Kydex seam because once it's stiched in place it will be held together by the fabric & rivets at the bottom.

Hope that helps some...
