This is my fourth now. I'm gonna try and make this a convex grind, so I started off making the initial flat grind today:
This is gonna be a drop point skinner version of my first knife, which was a wharncliffe. I'm considering doing the remainder of the grinding after heat treatment to try that method out. I didn't realize at the time, but I had a serious decarb problem on my first knife, which was pretty catastrophic since it was a chisel grind. I want to make sure not to make that mistake again:
It's a bit of a funny handle design, but it feels solid in hand. Next is to get the blade heat treated, then start with the convex grinding.
