Making new scales for a stiletto

Fella sent me his stiletto for new scales.
The old ones are a plastic resin and have cracked and pieces were missing.
So I found some buffalo horn that could be portioned for the job.
The knife is 13" open and the scales are 5 1/4 long, making it hard to find slabs.
So a portioned large slab had to do.

After I'm done, he want me to ship it to Seattle Edge for sharpening.

Photobucket is down at the moment...

Nice work, came out beautifully.

Curious, was it made in Italy? Germany? Some place else?
