Making pocket clips

Anyone ever try making their own pocket clips? I have tried twice and they both could use some improvement. If anyone has any tips I would love to hear them. Just to put it in context, probably about 90% of clips I will make will go on something like this, so they will need to have some sort of deep carry design or something like that. I don’t like it when a bunch of the knife sticks out of my pocket. The clip on the leather sheath was my first try and the one on the Kydex sheath was the second. Thanks for taking a look!

Are you using windshield wiper inserts for your stock? They look pretty good to me. I made a pocket dangler clip last summer, I'll snap a picture when I get home later.


This also might be best in the MTE sub.

No, I had some scrap 1/16” AEB-L so I used that. What is MTE? Is there any way I can switch this to be displayed there?

Oh, that looks good. What did you use to bend it? It looks really smooth like you did it with jewelry pliers or something. I just used the ones I had on hand and a torch, so it didn’t come out super clean.
