Making "prop" knives to mold kydex sheaths

Neat! This is something I've been thinking about on and off for a while, but never got around to trying. My knowledge on molding is non-existent. Love to hear about material used (probably a more technical term) and such if you don't mind sharing. The inclusion of some aluminum bar stock or such in the mix does sound like a possible solution to the flex issue. Maybe even a rough ground blank with the details filled out with the molding?
 
The learning curve is not that bad and you have most of the things you`ll need in the shop already
yea i`m going to try some 1/16 bar stock when i get another bucket...i just finished using the 10lb bucket :D

Excellent idea! this will save me from buying multiple knives to make sheaths. May I ask if anyone have a busse tglb prop knife by any chance?
