Making Scales for Your Straight Razor

Great tutorial. I can't wait to see the pinning. I am going to attempt this some day. A little simpler of course. I just haven't bought all of the materials needed yet.

any luck on the pinning process yet? i'm dying to see what you use for pins and spacers and such. i have a blade that needs handles, and can't find the right stuff for putting them together
any suggestions?
 
My apologies for not responding sooner. I get tied up in things sometimes and lose my way...

I'm buying one house, selling this one, and trying to keep up with orders. Haven't had the time to do the pinning part of the tutorial yet. Looks like June to get it done.

In the meantime, use 1/16 rod for pins on razors. Get those at any good hardware store or go to www.towerhobbies.com Also get some 3/32 tubing for bushing material to be used in the blade. www.microfasteners.com carries the washers that work. I use the size 0 brass washers at 1/8 od.
