Perhaps many of you forumite(s)
are familiar with my post(s)/thread(s)/rant(s). Make no mistake : forum(s) ( since the time(s) of the Greco-Roman period(s)) were places not merely of discussion of the weather, time of day, or pedestrianism in general. These things DID occur, but the focal point of the "forum" ( in the
traditional sense ) was usually the creation of "heated" debate(s) -or-
CONTROVERSY. Sort of like when the Roman Emperor Caligula introduced a
horse as a senator ( If I recall the horse's name was "Incitatus";)) to a horrified Roman senate, is what my
premise is whence I post ( in any fashion ;)). Controversy make(s) for a good forum, my contemporaries.
And that is my point ( pun intended ;))

AET ;)

Controversy is fine as long as it is in the form of debate and not done just to be contrary. Not saying that you do this, because this is something I have never seen from you.

Debate, even heated debate, makes for more interesting threads. Many of the threads that I have learned from have been ones where there have been differing views. As long as people treat each other with respect during these debates, there is nothing wrong with a little controversy.

Edited because I inadvertently left a word out of the original post.
