Has any one made their own Sharpfinger handles?

I was thinking of drilling out the rivits, ate the handles also glued?

I'm not sure if I'll make wood handles or simply thin the current ones on the tand side. May just do both.

The handles come right off once you punch out or cut the rivets. The Sharpfinger is very adaptable to new grips, either slab, or consider wrapping the tang. Removing the handles cuts a lot of weight, too.

Thanks Ed.

I have a CRKT MDP Stiff Kiss as a neck knife but I am not happy with it, so I was indeed wondering about cord wraping the Sharpfinger. At $30 from Walmart I just may be my play knife ending up with all sorts of handles.

BTW My girlfriend comes from Alberta and knows an "Alberta Ed" too ;)

I've been thinking of doing the same thing with the Sharpfinger and the Guthook Skinner, also from Walmart. Alberta Ed: could you be more specific about removing the rivets? I can probably figure it out myself, but some more detailed info would make things easier. It sounds like you've done it yourself. Thanks.

I replaced the standard delrin (?) handle slabs on my sharpfinger approx 12 months ago with some old red deer antler I had floating about. The existing rivets were drilled out and replaced with some heavy duty ones from Attleborough accesories here in the UK. Balance of knife is now slightly handle heavy, so way replace with some ox shin bone. Good sharp knife though
