I just received a knife from my ailing father, not sure what I have or the value of it. Any help would be appreciated. He claims to have bought it from a fellow named Malcberry some 40 years ago. He claims the man told him he used steel from a crucible in or from 1897. The story goes on to say not very many was made. The blade is stamped 1897 in somewhat large numbers and down by the handle on one side close to the handle it is stamped Malcberry and England. The other side has Truelove and hand forged also close to the handle. I have no reason to doubt the story just interested in knowing more. Myself not a collector I would like to know what it is worth. Thanks in advance. Pace40
