I’ve been trying to purchase one from the time that they were released, with no luck. They all seem to disappear quickly and for good reason. A few years ago I picked up a TR-4 and it was IMHO the finest auto on the market. I sent an email to the president of Protech, Dave Wattenberg thanking him and his company for making this beautiful knife. He wrote me back thanking me. A few weeks ago after missing out on another chance to purchase a Malibu at a sane price I decided to try a different tack. I contacted Dave and asked him if I could purchase one directly from the factory. Somewhat to my chagrin he got back to me a few days later and hooked me up with their director of sales and they made it happen. Needless to say Dave and his company ROCK and customer service is alive and well! Oh yeah, moderators please move this to Feedback if appropriate.
