I received my KNN Malla 'blem' and now I understand the Malla mystique. This khukuri, despite having no inlays or fullers, is a thing of beauty. A thing of terrible beauty! Walosi has posted on this before but it SCREAMS weapon when you first hold it. The balance and feel are the real value in this blade; you have to hold one to know what makes it special. Makes one feel like he could take on a Velociraptor from Jurrassic Park on even terms. The Malla would be my choice for martial arts application, a pair of them.....It feels like it should be spiked forward into an enemy and then ripped out in such a way as to inflict maximum carnage! Light and quick in the hand but with brutal power in the arc of the blade.

I have not had the oppurtunity to test it as a tool, I imagine it will perform like a Sirupati of equal size. Maybe this weekend I can post field test results. Thanks Uncle Bill for this 'blem'!

Um, but tell us how you really feel about it, RB.;) :D :D :D ;) ;)

Or you can use it to spread butter on your toast. :D (just wanted to balance out the opinion  )

So does that mean you'll sell it to me for $25? ;p

The Malla is not a big seller but those who get it seem to like it pretty well. It does make a statement all its own.

Many thanks for report from the field.
