Bill,
I got the Malla Khukuri today! VERY VERY NICE !!! This khukuri feels very good in the hand, and I love the cho in the khukuri and the karda.
I'll let you know how it performs as soon as I can.

Is there any way you can post a picture of the original Malla Khukuri? I'd like to see what it looks like in it's present condition.
 
At present there is no way to post a pix of the original Malla. I'm not sure Gelbu even has it. It might have been confiscated by HMG Archeological Dept. They can do such things and get away with it.
