malla walla bo balla fee fie fo falla... Malla!

I have one (no pics, though). Used it this past weekend to chop up some branches that I trimmed from an orange tree. Very tough wood. The malla sailed right through them and buried herself in the chopping block.

From the look and feel of the knife, I get the feeling that it was NOT primarily designed for chopping wood. It's a weapon.

I like mine a lot.

BTW: Christopher Moore is a great writer. Have you read "Lamb"?

Thanks! Beautiful Malla, beoram!

Aardvark - I haven't read "Lamb" yet, but I'm planning to. I've read Bloodsucking Fiends, Coyote Blue, and the Isle of the Sequined Love Nun. :)

Search 'malla' by 'bill martino' and you'll see a bunch of offerings with pix; such as:

The one in the last string of pics is mine. However, the handle was a little big for me. If ya wanna trade for it... lemme know.

I was hoping for 70 or so acres of prime farmland. It doesn't fit me very well so I just thought I'd stick it out to see what kind of offers I'd get. It is a blem though.

Malla by Bura...

The frog is really loose (although somewhat tighter after soaking in water), the leather doesn't cover a patch about 1/4" x 1/4" and the chappe fell off.

There is some scuffing on the tip from the inside of the sheath and I didn't even attempt to sharpen it.

Thanks to Pen for reminding me of this thread.

I like the blade, so I might just keep it.

I'm not sure if you talked yourself into or out of keeping the blade.

Can't you re-lace the frog to tighten it?

You forget my inherent laziness. :)

The main reason I'm considering a trade is that the handle is too big for me (diameter).
