Mama Mia!

The TOPS is a sweet knife I'm just not real fond of the clip though and I'm sad to say it does not see much pocket time because of that. N690 is a awsome blade steel and if you have not used it before you will be impressed by its performance.

Totally. The SIG Pterodactyl made me a huge fan of N690 and now I seek other knives with that steel. The Spyderco Volpe and the Retribution by Ontario come to mind (anyone having experience with those knives please feel free to offer me your opinions) but I never thought about the TOPS Thunderhawk. Maybe I'll check it out, however, the pocket clip is kind of an important aspect for me as well and the last thing I need is to buy another knife that will never see any action.

The Italians make some pretty good knives these days.

So far I like the N690Co steel, it seems a bit like 154CM, maybe better.

I bought the Tops because I wanted to try the steel and the brand, so far so good.
This knife is very thin and light for its size, it reminds me of a Strider in that respect. It is proving very durable. I like G-10/titanium handle framelocks, I wish more manufacturers would offer this construction. As far as the clip goes, I prefer tip up, but I have carried both kinds for so long that it doesn’t bother me.

The Extrema Ratio has a different blade shape than any other folder I have.
The whole execution definitely shows its military roots. This is not an American design, that’s for sure. The liner lock-lock, works as advertised.
