Made by Gudy Van Poppel (dutch knifemaker)

Damascus is made from 75NI8 and O2, multibar basketweave and explosion pattern.
Bladelength 24.5cm, thickness 6mm.
Handle is a C-frame construction, made of damascus steel. Guard is carved, the spacers are made of beryllium bronze. The scales are Siberian Mammoth, with 6 golden pins.

Belgian knifemaker Alex Salsi is going to make a sheath for this beauty, and Gudy is going to make a presentation box in curly maple.

Kind regards,

:eek:That is just OVER THE TOP. Stunning. Very impressive. Man I could just go on and on.

Remarkable craftsmanship on this bowie. I particuarly like the carved double guard. There is some serious hours put into that alone.

+1:thumbup: That guard is VERY nicely done as is everything about that knife. NICE piece of mammoth and the work on the liners and spacers adds a fine look too!

CONGRATS Jos!

Very beautifl bowie. The carved guard is very well executed and gives an additional lift to an otherwise excellent piece.

That is absolutely gorgeous. I gotta google this Gudy, check out some more of his work. That carved guard and the handle fittings are the work of a VERY talented artist.
