Been gone for awhile and noticed no Mammoth Sebenzas or Mnandis offered for sale in the exchange, is there a problem with selling one or are they that rare? Thanks in Advance

No issues legally with selling them. Since they stopped production on them a few years back they have gone to hiding in folks safes and collections apparently

Yes, rare these days.

I recall years ago a member posted pictures of a beautiful mammoth mnandi daily carry that rode in the most broken in slip I had ever seen. Possibly my favorite knife ever.

Cherished-they come up every once in awhile at very steep prices, and still don't last long. I have always loved the mammoth bark, and deeply regret selling my small.

This depends on where you live. Some states include mammoth and mastodon in their ivory bans.

Copy, Thanks for the input friends but now I think we should get some of those Mammoth Gems out into the light, I'll post pictures as soon as I figure how to do it with this computer. Come on People lets see some of your Beautiful Mammoths, take them out of the safe and share please.

Dinokay Been a long time since we have done any trading. I got a couple out of the dark safe so they can get some daylight. Do you remember the Mnandi? Annuals are really rare and you just do not see any up for sale on the forum the last 12 years. In the 2010 you could get one if you were lucky but now it is about impossible.

Yes I remember those days, I bet the person that sold you that Mnandi hates himself by now. Yes it seems like the annuals and the ivory have gone MIA, sad because that's part of what spiced things up. I still have a few Ivory's that I'll be posting, it will be nice to see them again. Love both of those Beauties, Thanks for posting them.

There is a very short list of things I wouldn’t do for that Mnandi!

On eBay Mammoth Mnandi would probably go for 3K. On the exchange, maybe 1500-2K, if it is nice Mammoth and a dammie blade, it would go for 2K plus IMO (and I'd be a buyer).

Very cool engraved pivot on the Mnandi. Thanks for sharing these

I am thinking about thinning out my collection of Ivory Mnandi's, and I noticed that one was recently sold for $2K on that custom knive store in Arizona. Do you guys have any experience with that place? What marketplace do you guys recommend?

Edit: I think my mammoth bark mnandi is way better than the one that went for $2k, but of course I would say that! :p

Are you referring to AZCK(Arizona Custom Knives), If so it is actually in Florida, and is fine, but rather high commissions. I think you could do as well or better selling here, and for only a $35 gold membership. There is a good following for CRK here. For the price of the membership you can also ask about pricing.

Yeah, that is the place. I wasn't sure if it was Ok to mention the name here. I used to have a gold membership (I think), but it has been several years since I was active and I had to create a new account. I will probably renew gold, as soon as I can figure out how to post pictures. Putting them on a web based portal before posting is a PITA. Dinosaur age stuff. Well, woolly mammoth age maybe 😅
