Been spending some time with this mammoth tooth handle lately and finally got a shot I’m happy with.
The pattern and color layering on this one are insane—every angle looks different. It’s one of those materials that feels ancient but still completely unique on a modern blade.

Still experimenting with the finish and how it catches light, but this piece turned out better than expected.
Curious what you all think of mammoth tooth as a handle material — love it or too wild?

Helping translate - Cool knife!

“I've spent a lot of time lately studying this mammoth ivory handle and finally managed to capture a satisfying photo.
The texture and color gradients of this knife are simply breathtaking—each angle reveals a different kind of beauty. This material carries an ancient charm while seamlessly blending with modern knife design, making it truly unique.

I'm still experimenting with different surface treatments and lighting effects, but the final result of this piece has exceeded my expectations.
What does everyone think about using mammoth ivory for handles? Do you like it, or do you find it too unconventional?”
